JUNIOR MINSTEAD

This is an informal organisation run to provide children and their families in and around Minstead with various social activities.  They do not meet regularly, but in a typical year, usually provide: a trip to a local pantomime in January; a chance to perform in a "homegrown" pantomime in March (a highlight of the year for the whole Village); a family camping weekend in the locality in June; and a sports afternoon and barbecue in September.  Other events have also taken place, including a Downwind Model "Yacht Race", Barn Dance and Hallowe'en Activities.  Most events are for children between the ages of roughly 5 and 15 but all children are welcome.  All events and ideas come from the parents and children involved.
